Broughton Island Shark Dive – Redux

When: Leave, Friday 16th September, 8:00pm – Return on Sunday, 11th September, 5:30pm

What: Who want’s to go to Broughton Island? It’s a camping weekend on the island at short notice (we’ve had to reschedule and there are 2 spaces still available…) Why? Because we need to run in the new motors and its a great place to start!
Numbers are very limited as we can only transfer 14 people to and from the island. Its overnight camping and awesome marine park diving. More info at Michael McFayden’s Site.
We need to be at Nelson Bay (port Stephens) on Friday Night to sleep over and head out at first light. So, If you cannot do this don’t RSVP! On Sunday 18th, we’ll be picked up at 2:30 and should be back in Nelson by around 4 to get back to Sydney.
  1. If conditions are bad to get to the Island, you will be notified by on Wednesday or Thursday and your money refunded.
  2. Please transfer/deposit ($50) with your name (e.g. Pinta_BI). It’s first in first paid. Braughton Trips sell out almost instantly so you need to email me to confirm your deposit. I’ll keep a reserves list so you can jump in, if/when someone pulls out (gee… that sounds dodgy)CommBank Matthew Pinter BSB: 062 903 Ac: 1003 0913 Ref: name BI (e.g. Pinta_BI)
  3. Cost is $100 in total that includes transfer from Nelson’s Bay to the Island. Meals on the Island, Diving with the Didj, tank fill(s) on the island and because we will be travelling with Pro Dive’s boat (which is why we can allow 14 people), we might be able to take 2 tanks each!! But that extra tank will have to be rented and arranged by yourself, maybe with Pro Dive Nelson Bay since they can just put it in their boat when dropping us off. Any extra dive or a Didj joy ride around the island perhaps will be another $10 :-)
  4. Bring Full Tanks (my compressor is very slow)
  5. Once numbers are confirmed, you should start carpooling and possible tent sharing. DIY gear hire with help from the Diver Officers.
  6. We will be diving and camping so bring heaps of warm stuff to wear.

Gear Hire Made Easy

So Divers and Divettes,

Did you know that there is now and easy to use online booking system for hiring your gear from the club?

All you have to do is go to the Bookings page and login with your member login details and you are good to go!

Pick what equipment you want and the dates and proceed to the checkout. All your payment is handled by the secure online payment portal supplied to the club by PayPal, (Don’t worry if you don’t have an account, you can still use your credit card to pay for your equipment hire).

The Bookings page automatically lets the gear officers know that you have booked your equipment and when you will be collecting it, and emails you a receipt of your booking… Really how could it be any easier?

 

Go to the Bookings tab at the top of the screen now to book your next dive!
